Disclaimer

The estimate is a model, not advice — what it covers, what it does not, and how to read it.

Estimates only

Every figure this site produces is an estimate produced by a simplified model. Actual withholding on your paycheck depends on your Form W-4, your employer’s payroll software, your pay frequency, mid-year changes, and rules that differ between states. Treat the output as a planning figure, never as an amount you are owed or owe.

Not professional advice

Nothing on this site is tax, legal, accounting or financial advice, and nothing here creates an accountant–client or attorney–client relationship. Do not file, withhold, negotiate or invest on the basis of these numbers alone.

For a position you intend to rely on, use a licensed CPA, enrolled agent or attorney, or read the primary sources at irs.gov.

Accuracy

The federal, payroll and state figures are transcribed from the sources named in the Method section: IRS Revenue Procedure 2025-32, the Social Security Administration’s 2026 contribution base, and Tax Foundation’s 2026 state tables.

Tax law changes, sometimes retroactively and sometimes after this page was last revised. No warranty is given that the figures are current, complete or free of transcription error. Where a figure here disagrees with a published source, the source is correct — tell us at induk1@hotmail.com and we will fix the transcription.

What is not modelled

Refundable credits (child tax credit, EITC), bonuses and equity compensation, state disability insurance (California SDI, New Jersey, New York), retirement withdrawals, itemized deductions, AMT, phase-outs, capital gains, and the W-4 settings that change an employer’s withholding. Local and municipal taxes are applied only if you enter them yourself. Head-of-household filers use the single-filer brackets at the state level.

Advertising disclosure

When advertising is enabled, this site displays ads served by Google AdSense. Advertising revenue funds the site and does not influence the calculation — the math is fixed code driven by the published sources above, and no advertiser can change a rate, a bracket or a result.

An advertisement is not an endorsement, a recommendation or advice, and its presence next to a figure does not make that figure a suggestion to act. We do not review the products advertisers promote.

Liability

The site is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any loss or damage — including lost savings, missed deadlines or incorrect filings — arising from reliance on these estimates. Your sole remedy is to stop using the site.

These terms sit alongside the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy.
